Wednesday

because

She was staring into space
focusing on nothing at all

I asked her why
She said because

Her eyes were filled with tears
Which trickled down her cheeks

I asked her why
She said because

Her brow was heavy with sadness
Her face etched with sorrow

I asked her why
She said because

She knew that I was leaving
She knew it broke my heart

She asked me why
I said because

You have created so many possibilities here and it seems like it just trickles off--just like a bad relationship. Well done.

I look forward to more of your work.

This seems an incredibly sad poem. It's excellently constructed in that it's simple in form yet profound in meaning.

Excellent write.

Welcome to Pen Me A Poem Prompt. I will re-write the guidelines for tomorrow's 2nd cue. I've explained it a little on the comment section thread.

Best wishes.

sometimes having someone leaves you, you don't need an explanation to how you're feeling, the reason is there even without words to represent them,

lovely sad poem
